Why Pakistan

Why source leather goods from Pakistan?

Pakistan has one of the world’s deepest leather ecosystems — from tanneries in Sialkot, Karachi, Lahore and Kasur to cutting, stitching, hardware, finishing and export packing, often within the same regional clusters. Hides are sourced, tanned, cut and made into finished goods locally.

That connection gives buyers more control over leather selection, shorter supply chains and experienced exporters used to European and international buyer standards. We don’t claim it is the cheapest source for everything — we help you decide whether it is the right source for your product.

  • Deep tannery ecosystem
  • Full-grain, lambskin & goatskin supply
  • Vegetable & chrome tanning
  • Skilled hand and machine stitching
  • Edge painting & finishing
  • Hardware & embossing capability
  • Low & minimum MOQ welcome
  • Competitive production economics
  • Long-standing export experience

Quality control

Quality control from leather to final carton.

Inspection standards — including AQL levels, measurement tolerances and test requirements — are agreed with each buyer before production. We inspect against that agreement and share the results, so you see issues before goods ship, not after they arrive.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask first.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ depends on product, leather, colour and customisation. Styles using stock leather can start lower than programmes that need custom-dyed or custom-knitted leather. Share your quantity per style and colour and we will confirm what is workable.

How long does production take?

Lead time depends on specifications, materials, quantity and workshop capacity. We confirm a timeline for sampling, bulk production and shipping in our proposal, once the specification is clear.

Do you make samples before bulk production?

Yes. Development samples, fit samples and pre-production samples are arranged according to your requirements, and bulk production starts only after your written approval.

Are you a workshop?

No. VelvettaStudio is a sourcing, production-management and export partner. We match each product to suitable manufacturers in our vetted Pakistani network and manage development, production, quality control and export as one accountable team.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are agreed according to buyer profile, order structure, production requirements and commercial relationship. For new buyers this is typically a deposit with staged or balance-before-shipment payments.

Can you help with EU labelling and documentation?

We prepare product specifications, fibre-composition information, origin details and export documentation, and coordinate buyer-specific testing. Legal requirements depend on the product, destination market and buyer, and remain the responsibility of the party placing goods on the EU market.

Have a product in mind?

Send us your product specification, tech pack or reference product. We’ll identify suitable Pakistani production options and come back with a sourcing and costing proposal.
